ESG Policy

AsheMorgan are committed to integrating environmental and social risk management practices into our business practices and procedures via our comprehensive ESG Policy. Our ESG policy is intended to aid us to manage the environmental and social impacts of our business activities and operations, and to proactively identify opportunities.

The ESG Policy is fully integrated across the business and is embedded into investment and management processes and our company culture. This ensures critical ESG risks and opportunities are screened and assessed in-detail to allow for informed decision making to facilitate resilience in the long term.

We recognise that the ESG policy will continue to evolve over time to reflect changing community expectations, stakeholder feedback, and regulatory requirements. The ESG Policy is designed to be clear and robust to allow for a commitment to best practice guidelines, frameworks and initiatives, as we continuously innovate, adapt and improve.

Midtown Centre

In an architectural first in Australia Midtown Centre, Brisbane was developed through the amalgamation of two existing office buildings into a high quality A Grade commercial office building, with large floor plates and superior wellness amenity.

Estimated to be 231% more environmentally friendly through adaptive reuse of the structure, compared with a demolish and new build approach. Achieved carbon savings of roughly 11,000 metric tonnes per year (concrete and steel). The new benchmark for environmentally responsive re-use buildings in Australia.

The construction methodology allowed for a 38% carbon emission reduction versus’ a new build, with 90% of the demolished materials being recycled. The embedded carbon savings means the Property runs carbon neutral (net zero emissions) for over 4 years.

Midtown Centre has been awarded a 6-Star Green Star Rating by the Green Building Council of Australia. This represents ‘World Leadership’ in environmentally sustainable building practices.

Midtown Centre was awarded the Property Council of Australia Most Sustainable Development of the Year Award (2023). The award is the highest recognition for innovation that reduces a project or existing building’s eco footprint.

The glass curtain façade provides for floor to ceiling windows enhancing light and ventilation. The Property provides tenants with unprecedented levels of amenity including WiFi enabled landscaped skygardens on Levels 6 and 20, naturally ventilated atriums and substantial end of trip facilities on the podium levels.
